Activities

Day 1 : Arrive in Hanoi

Arriving at Ha Noi Airport, you’ll be welcomed by our driver and tour guide and transferred to the hotel. The rest of the day is free at leisure. Welcome dinner. Overnight in Ha Noi

Meal: Dinner

Day 2: City tour Hanoi – Laocai

Today we’ll have a half day easy tour of the 1000 year old city of Ha Noi. We’ll will visit different highlights of Ha Noi including: Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, the Presidential Palace, the Ngoc Son temple, the Temple of Literature - 1st University of Vietnam. You enjoy free at leisure time in the afternoon. In the evening, we’ll transfer you to Ha Noi Train Station for the night train for Lao Cai. Overnight on the train.

Day 3: Lao Cai – Market of minority ethnic - Sapa

Arriving at Lao Cai in the early morning, you can sip the hot coffee and enjoy the view of China on the other side of the Red River. From Lao Cai the road winds up the terraced hillsides to Sapa, which offers the stunning mountain views of the North West of Vietnam. We meet our driver and drive further into the mountains to a local market where we'll take part in an exotic weekend market of the local ethnic groups right in a pristine valley. Note: Visit Coc Ly market on Thursday Visit Can Cau market on Saturday Visit Bac Ha market on Sunday Leaving the market, we travel to Sa Pa. We check into the hotel and enjoy free time at leisure.

Overnight in Sapa Town.

Day 4: Sapa – LaoCai – Hanoi

In the morning, visit the Cat Cat hill tribe village. Enjoy a trek to the Red Dao village of Tha Phin, and in the afternoon go to Giay minority of Ta Van then back to Lao Cai to catch the night train to Hanoi.

Overnight on the train.

Day 5: HaNoi

Arriving in Ha Noi in early morning, we’ll be transferred to our hotel and enjoy the rest of the day free at leisure. Note: Today early check-in with breakfast is not included in the tour price.

Day 6: Hanoi – HaLong bay

Come to Halong Bay and enjoy boat trip to visit Ha Long Bay, listed as a World Heritage Area of outstanding natural beauty. This picturesque “Dragon descending to the sea” Bay

has 1,969 limestone islets rising from the sea, many of them containing beautiful grottoes. Visit of a grotto then seafood lunch on board. Overnight on board the junk in the wild of Ha Long Bay.

Day 7: Ha Long Bay - Ha Noi. Night Train for Hue

Relax and enjoy the sound of the nature on the bay. Brunch on boat and transfer back to Hanoi and the train station for the overnight train for Hue. Overnight on the train.

Day 8: Hue

Arriving in Hue, meet our tour guide and travel to the city for refreshment. Then we’ll start the discovery tour of Hue Imperial Citadel. After the tour of Hue Citadel, we’ll check into the hotel and enjoy free time at leisure for the rest of the day. Overnight in Hue. Note: Today early check-in with breakfast is not included in the tour price.

Day 9: Hue – DMZ – Hue

Enjoy full day tour back in time of the war in Vietnam. We’ll travel back in time to the war and tour the formerly fierce battle sites including the Ancient Citadel of Quang Tri with live evidence of destruction, Khe Sanh Air Base, Vinh Moc Tunnels and Ben Hai River (former division line between North and South Vietnam). In late afternoon, we’ll travel back to Hue.Overnight in Hue.

Day 10: Hue Royal tombs. Hue – Da Nang – Hoi An

Breakfast at the hotel. Enjoy a morning river cruise to visit the Thien Mu Pagoda and Tombs of King Tu Duc and Khai Dinh. Travel back to Hue for refreshment. In the afternoon, continue our tour further south to Da Nang and Hoi An. We’ll enjoy the scenic Hai Van Pass, Marble Mountains and the China Beach. We arrive in Hoi An in late afternoon and enjoy free time at leisure. Overnight in Hoi An.

Day 11: Hoi An

Morning, take a walking tour of the ancient town centre to visit the former merchants’ homes, the 400 year-old Japanese Covered Bridge and the colourful market. In the afternoon take a 3-hour cruise on the Thu Bon River with stops at Thanh Ha pottery village, Kim Bong carpenters’ village and the shipbuilding yard. Overnight in Hoi An.

Day 12: Hoi An – My Son – Hoi An

A half day trip to visit the capital and religious centre of the former Champa Kingdom, My Son. Visit the museum and the holy site then head back to Hoi An. Afternoon is free at leisure. Overnight in Hoi An.

Day 13: Hoi An – Da Nang – Nha Trang

Breakfast at the hotel. Have free time at leisure until we transfer you to Da Nang. Train Station for the day train for Nha Trang. Arriving at Nha Trang in the evening, we’ll check into our hotel and enjoy free time at leisure.

Overnight in Nha Trang.

Day 14: Nha Trang full day free at lesure

Breakfast at the hotel. Alternatively you can have a boat cruise to some stunning offshore islands for snorkeling with additional costs. Only accommodation with breakfast at the hotel is provided by Steppe Travel.

Day 15: Nha trang – Hochimin city

Breakfast at the hotel. You have full day at leisure for self-exploring the city of Nha Trang. In late afternoon, we’ll board the night train for Ho Chi Minh City, still called Sai Gon by many locals.

Day 16: Hochimin city

Arriving at Sai Gon early in the morning, we’ll be transferred to the hotel and have refreshment for the morning. In the afternoon, we’ll have a tour of Saigon including the War Remnants Museum, the Reunification Palace and walking tour to visit Ben Thanh Market. Overnight in Sai Gon. Note: Today early check-in with breakfast is not included in the tour price.

Day 17: HCM – Cai Be-An Binh island-Vinh Long-Can Tho

The tourist will be on board at the tourist boat station in Vinh Long. Only 10 minutes of cruising along the My Tho river (with ) enjoying the fresh air and peaceful relaxation, The tourist visit the floating market – the original style of commerce on the Mekong river’s basin, and are dizzy of hundred boats on the river. Visiting the local pop rice, rice paper workshop, the tourist do not only know how to make cakes but also try on and taste the warm one right after processing by the breezy river bank. Crossing the Mekong River to the island, being along the canals to see many activities of the local fishing and the friendly waving and smiles. Visiting Mr Cai Cuong’s ancient house - landlord’s one in the past, farming tool display, rice planting line- the miniature pictures of the Mekong delta. A cup of tea, some of the local tropical fruits and listening to the traditional music is the best chance for relaxation.

Strolling on the village paths (or rowing sampan) under the foliages, then boating to visit an orchards or a nursery garden where the tourist taste the tropical fresh fruits and the local fruit fermented wine .Back to Vinh Long. Driver will pick you up to return to Can Tho.

Day 18: Can Tho-Cai Rang market- Hochiminh After breakfast. Departure to visit the flottant market Cai Rang. Then, return to Can Tho. Visite Can Tho city. In the end of afternoon, back to Hochiminh city. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh.

Day 19: Saigon – Cu Chi - Saigon

We travel 70 km to Cu Chi once famous for the legendary tunnel system which at the height stretched over 250 km. In Cu Chi, you can check out these tunnels of 3 levels by crawling through the dark and narrow way; you'll also learn more about the life of the local people during the war. We drive back to Ho Chi Minh City and enjoy free time at leisure for the rest of the day. In the evening, we'll head out for a the farewell dinner at a cozy local restaurant. Overnight in Sai Gon.

Day 20: Depart Saigon

You have free time until we transfer you back to the airport for your departure flight. End of journey.
